What is Clube Football club all about?
Clube is a successful, well-organised and multicultural football club based in Melbourne's East. We aim to find the right balance between striving to win and maintaining a fun, social environment?
Where do you play and train?
During the winter season (March-September), we train in Donvale. The training ground is easy to access (just off the Eastern Freeway). Transport is offered to those who live in the Burwood area.
Our matches are played on Sundays at venues across the eastern and northern suburbs. The club can assist with transport for those who need it.
When is the football season?
Our season runs from March-September. We typically play socially over the summer months (November-January). Prospective players can contact us at all times of the year.
What competition does Clube participate in?
We participate in the Melbourne Chinese Soccer Association (MCSA). The MCSA is a community league originally founded by the Chinese Community in Melbourne. Nowadays, it is a professionally run community football association with teams from a wide range of cultural and national backgrounds.
I'm new to Melbourne and haven't played football here before. Is Clube right for me?
Clube has become the home for countless players who have thrived in our welcoming environment. Joining Clube is a great way to meet new people whilst having great fun.
Alongside playing football, we organise numerous social events throughout the year.
I don't know if I'm of a good enough standard to join Clube. Can I trial?
Many players come to Clube without previous experience of playing in Melbourne. It is sometimes difficult to know if you're of the right standard.
In-pre-season, we run open trials where everyone is welcome. During the season, it's best that you contact us to discuss your playing experience.
Is Clube affiliated with Deakin University? Do I have to be a Deakin University student to play?
Clube has a long-standing association with the Deakin University community although we are not officially affiliated with Deakin or with DUSA. You do not have to be a Deakin student to play with us although many players come to Clube as students of Deakin. Many of our players are current or former students.
