The Clube Reserves returned from lockdown in style to notch up a 4-2 victory over Brotherhood.
On a heavy Ross Straw pitch, Clube found an early rhythm and saw plenty of the ball in advanced areas. The return of Erko (Ernie) Isanovic up front worked wonders as some nice interplay in the final third saw Safi get on the end of a perfectly placed pass to find the net. We didn't have to wait too long for our second as some pressure applied on Brotherhood defenders saw Elvis acquire possession in a dangerous spot and seeing the keeper off his line finished exquisitely from distance.
Clube's back 3 system held up well against Brotherhood's attack, a disciplined line finding our opponents offside at key moments.
The second half continued in a similar way to the first with Clube dominating territory and creating chances. Another set of intricate passes in the final third saw Safi sweep the ball into the far corner from the edge of the box for his second. A red card for a Brotherhood player saw Clube take a numerical advantage on the pitch but with it came some unfortunate complacency.
Two quick goals from Brotherhood late in the second half made us nervous until Nic got on the end of a through-ball to tuck the ball home to seal the result.
